About Felin Fach

Felin Fach, once a working water mill, has been converted and renovated to the charming cottage it is today. Set down an unmade lane it nestles in rolling countryside, giving a real, rural retreat; one forgets how close you are to the coast with Newgale and Solva just a few miles away. Surrounded by an acre of grounds with uninterrupted views over the fields, it is bordered by a stream, the river Solva which meanders on its way down through Middle Mill to Solva and out to sea. The south-west facing conservatory is an ideal place to relax, while the newly fitted, cottage style kitchen/diner is perfect for enjoying long, leisurely family meals, or alternatively dine alfresco on the paved terrace on balmy summer evenings, as the sun slowly sets. The cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove to keep any chills away. 3 steps lead to the bedrooms.

The area abounds in footpaths with a number of circular walks, the bird and wildlife will delight. Just 4 miles away from the tiny fishing village of Porthgain with its thriving galleries and popular pub, 'the Sloop', it is equidistant from the delightful harbour village of Solva, enjoy exploring its shops, galleries and pubs all nestling round the picturesque inlet; join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to really explore this rugged coastline. The woollen mill at Middle Mill is worth a visit, set in the green valley on the banks of the stream. The long beautiful, sandy beach at Newgale is only 3 miles away, popular with families and water sports enthusiasts, there is a hire centre and beach side pub and cafe to refresh. Alternatively, the tiny city of St Davids with its excellent facilities, Cathedral and Bishops Palace is only a little further away. As you drive down the lane, leave your cares behind and truly relax in this ideal holiday home.

A stunning, cosy and very comfortable cottage. Kids had an amazing time in the garden. Had a fantastic 2 days at the blue lagoon and beach, yes I jumped into the lagoon, twice! Beautiful beaches. A very enjoyable week. August 2018

Bennett & Banks families

A fantastic holiday. Perfect for two families of four. We appreciated all the details – such as spare ruck sack, games, body boards in the shed. A wonderful location. We have two meals at the Harbour Inn in Solva which was good pub food and easy. We have enjoyed walks around the lanes, body boarding at Newgale, walking around Pengali wood and Strumble Head and Newgale. August 2018

Dal & Adrian

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Felin Fach. We have been warm and cosy and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a real treat. We walked several stretches of the coastal path and have been amazed at the stunning scenery. We hope to return. September 2018

Wow what a fantastic holiday, the cottage is lovely, everything we hoped for and more. The location was brilliant for the walking we did. Pembrokeshire excelled our expectations. We were so lucky to have fantastic weather as well. Every turn on the coastal path brings spectacular views. So much to see, we hope to come back again very soon. Thank you. September 2018

Probably the best Easter holiday we have had. A wonderful holiday home in a beautiful and quiet location. We were out doing something every day. Abereiddy beach and the Blue Lagoon, Solva Harbour for crabbing and walking, Pembroke Castle and Traeth Llyfn beach amongst other activities. Amazing! April 2018

Our first visit to Pembrokeshire – we have loved it! So much to see and do and so quiet! The location of the cottage is particularly special and to have so much space and freedom for our boys to play out was great. Places we visited were St Davids, walked along Whitesands, Abereiddy, Tenby, Pembroke Castle, Solva, Newgale, Broad Haven and Little Haven. Thank you! August 2018

Crossley, Sadowski & Hutchinson families

We have had an amazing week with incredible weather. Perfect location, nice and peaceful but not too far from the beach. Leon loved the river at the bottom of the field and the farm. Kitchen was well equipped. July 2018

An ideal situation, cottage just perfect for adults and children. We visited Newgale and Solva which was just lovely. Pembroke Castle which kept us entertained most of the day and Abereiddy where we had two great days, kayaking, swimming and 2 of the adults jumped in the blue lagoon. The coastline and countryside is beautiful. And of course the cottage was just ideal. Well appointed, could not fault it. August 2018

Weather was lovely, we went on a Ramsey island boat tour and kayaking and recommend it. Food at the Sloop Inn in Porthgain were also really good. Beautiful coastal walks with stunning scenery. Thank you! We would come back here – oh and Pembroke Castle and Bishops Palace is definitely worth a visit. May 2018

Booked a short break to celebrate Steve's Birthday. Cottage so lovely, peaceful and tranquil. Everything on hand and spotlessly clean. Weather was not too bad, albeit the fog! Alf my dog loved the freedom of the garden and even had a dip in the stream. Thank you for such a lovely holiday.

Mr & Mrs Thomas

Peaceful spot and a cosy cottage, Thank you

Mr & Mrs Clarke

We booked a short break here as an antidote to a very stressful year (Ian was in a serious accident). We got exactly what we asked for! 4 days of total tranquillity in a beautiful cottage that worked for Ian in his wheelchair and for the rest of us as a family - Hugo 2 and Clara 8 months. We basically did nothing but revel in spending precious , and rare time as a family. Hugo loved the garden and helping with passing logs to the wonderful log burner. It has been a truly wonderful few days and we are very sorry to be heading back to reality. Thank you x

Smiths + Wards

What a wonderful week! Felin Fach has been a great place to stay and we shall be sad to leave. We would recommend Hilton garden centre just outside Roch as well as Picton Castle. Happy Easter!

The Robinson Family

To come from a town to such a quiet, peaceful place is just what we needed, lonely cottage, lovely countryside.
